i used chisels to cut notches into the stand bases so that they would break down for easier travel...
wood cut for the stands...
cypress, oak, purple heart, birds eye maple, padauk to represent each of the elements...
design for the wooden light box stands...
i just like that it looks as though she's crying black tears...
using sawdust to draw up any extra cement from the glass...
applying the 'cement' (a weatherproofing substance that fills the channels of the lead came) with a brush and some elbow grease...

picking off any stray solder or lead bits...
brass strips cut for the panel borders...
